Effect of Biomass Burning

Effect of Biomass Burning is shown by variation of tropospheric carbon monoxide with height above Amazon rainforest and with longitude along Amazon River, as measured by ABLE-2A flights at the end of wet season (July) and beginning of dry season (August). Note enormous CO increase in August as a result of biomass burning.
